The bar along the bottom of the editor holds the elevation profile and a distance slider. Together they let you move along the course by distance and see the terrain as you go.
The controls
| Control | What it does |

| Toggle | Shows or hides the profile. On a phone it starts hidden. |
| Slider | Drag to move a cursor along the course. The cursor appears on the map and on the profile together. |
| Distance readout | How far along the course the cursor is. |
| Follow | When ticked, the map pans to keep the cursor in view while you drag the slider. Untick it to look at one spot while scrubbing. |
The elevation profile
- Shows elevation against distance for the whole course, smoothed by the Smoothing setting on the Tools tab.
- Hover over it to show where that distance is on the map.
- Click it to move the cursor there and centre the map on that spot.
- Timing points are marked along it.
- Hovering the course line on the map moves the cursor on the profile the other way round.
The cursor works by distance along the course, so on an out-and-back or a lapped course it stays on the right pass, even where the course runs over the same road twice.
