The Points tab lists every point on the course line in order, from the start. However long the course is, the list scrolls smoothly.
Each row
- The point's number (the start is 0), its distance from the start, and its elevation (
--when it has none). - Hover a row to highlight that point on the map.
- centres the map on the point.
- copies its coordinates as
latitude, longitude— the format Google Maps and RaceResult accept. - [ and ] set it as the start or end of the range (below).
- deletes it.
Hovering a point on the map scrolls the list to it.
Working with a range
The from and to boxes at the top select a stretch of the course by point number. Fill them in by typing, with the [ and ] buttons, or by right-clicking points on the map.
- Delete removes every point from from to to — useful for cutting out a wrong turn or a GPS spike. A course always keeps at least two points.
- Insert file here with only from set splices a file's points into the course after that point.
- Insert file here with both set replaces the stretch between them with the file — the way to swap one section for a better recording or a changed route.
Why some points are missing from the map
Points are only drawn on the map once you zoom in close enough to edit them. The note at the top of this panel says when points or insert handles are hidden or sampled; zoom in to see them all.
